A text came in from one of our customers, Corey, and it's too good to keep to ourselves:
"You should come visit and see our new place soon. Trade you dinner for more Firecracker Sauce?"
We've gotten plenty of thank-yous over the years. This was our first barter offer. And for the record, Corey — deal. Though you should know the sauce is on the menu year-round, 16 oz, twelve servings, no dinner required.
That bottle of Firecracker Sauce wasn't something Corey ordered. Every new customer's first box goes out with one tucked inside — not announced, not in the cart, just there when you open the bag. The next two orders each carry something worth opening too, and the fourth brings a surprise we won't spoil here.
Meal delivery can feel like pure logistics. Food arrives, you eat it, the box goes in the recycling. That works, but it isn't the business we wanted to run. Most of the people we cook for order week after week, some for years now, and that kind of loyalty starts with how you treat somebody in their first month. The extras are how we say it: we're glad you're here, and we plan on feeding you for a long time.
The care runs past the boxes, too. Real people from the kitchen answer your questions. Your delivery lands Sunday or Monday in the window for your town, week after week, so you can build your routine around it. And when something's off, we fix it — that's the whole policy.
New customers usually ask us two things: what's on the menu this week, and do you deliver to me. The menu changes weekly — it's at thestrongkitchen.com/menus, and everything ordered by Wednesday at midnight arrives that weekend. The delivery answer is a map: thestrongkitchen.com/where-we-deliver — every Connecticut town we serve, from New Haven and Hamden through Hartford County and most of Fairfield County, each with its delivery day.
No contracts. Order à la carte — nothing to commit to.

Nothing to join, nothing to sign up for. Each of your first three orders has something worth opening that isn't on the menu — starting with a bottle of Firecracker Sauce in box one — and your fourth order brings a surprise we won't spoil here. We don't do coupons. We do things you can't get anywhere else, and it doesn't stop at four.
